Chinese medicine believes that the fight between Zheng Qi and Evil Qi is the basic pathological process of illness. Zheng Qi refers to the body’s defence system against foreign pathogenic factors, including modern immunity; Evil Qi refers to pathogenic factors. This concept is derived from the ancient work “Yellow Emperor’s Internal Classics” from 2,000 years ago. If “the Evil Qi gathers together, the Qi must be weak“, on the contrary, as long as the human body is full of positive Qi, the pathogenic external Evil cannot easily invade the human body, that is, “positive Qi exists inside, Evil is inviolable.”

The effect of Fuzheng is through nourishes Qi and Blood, Lung, Spleen and Kidney, to achieve the effect of strengthening Zheng Qi (immunity). The formula also contains Heat-clearing herbs to eliminate latent Toxins. Latent Toxins refer to the removal of pathogenic factors such as viruses or bacteria lurking in the body. So, this formulation is mainly used to prevent viral or bacterial infections or the body’s recovery after viral infections. It is mainly used to treat immune deficiency in the asymptomatic HIV positive patient.
