ChinaHerb Isatis Root 10s

Isatis Root is a traditional herb for clearing Heat and detoxification, cooling Blood, reducing swelling in the throat. Modern research has proved its antibacterial, anti-viral, anti-endotoxin, anti-inflammatory and enhancing immune function. Therefore, it is widely used to prevent and treat bacterial and viral infections like acute tonsillitis and mumps and chronic viral infections.

Since the nature of Isatis Root is cold, people with a weak constitution should use it with Qi nourishing herbs. For example, for the prevention of influenza it can be combined with Tonic Defensive Qi; for the prevention of viral hepatitis it can be combined with Shaoyang Formula. To treat the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome/Myalgic encephalomyelitis it is used with Shaoyang Formula.
