Dried Sarsaparilla Root (Smilax species) may be used as supportive therapy for chronic rheumatism, gout and rheumatoid arthritis. It is said to be useful for proper functioning of the body as a whole.

Instructions
- Decoction: Take 2-3 teaspoons of root with 1 cup of water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 10-15 min. Strain and drink 3 times a day.
- Tincture: Take 1-2 ml 3 times a day.
