Dried Shepherd’s Purse (Capsella bursa-pastoris) has been recommended for passive hemorrhage, diarrhea as well as dysentery. It may alleviate period pains as well. As a tea it is considered to be a remedy against hemorrhages of all kinds – in the stomach, lungs uterus and the kidneys.

INTERNAL

• Also used to stop bleeding of wounds and for bruises
• May also be used for varicose veins and nose bleeds
• May be useful for rheumatic joints

Warnings

• Do not use during pregnancy.
• Although shepherd’s purse is considered relatively safe in amounts typically recommended it should be used in medicinal amounts only consultation with your doctor
• Not recommended for use in high doses and extended periods
• Person suffering from kidney stones should not use shepherd’s purse
